More Fabric Love 01/31/2012
I'm taking some time off from crafting this week and next because my craft stuff is insanely disorganized right now! I will continue to post here and there, but no themes this week or next. I have a craft today I made with my pal Tammy the day we made fabric wreaths. It's from the same website (A Beautiful Mess). Isn't it the cutest? I hope to make some more soon. :) The fabric is also by Stampin' Up! Add Comment Plus One: Bun in the Oven Card 01/30/2012
Okay, don't hate. But I'm doing a re-post of a card I had made a little while ago... :) But it's using Lawn Fawn's Plus One set and it's my favorite! Click on the photo below to take you the original post that contains step-by-step directions to make the card! Plus One: It's a girl! Card 01/26/2012
First, I'd like to say that I had to add "Card" to my blog post titles because I got a few comments that they thought I was having a baby... :P Nope! Not here. :) Continuing with Lawn Fawn's Plus One stamp set, I created this card using Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger: I really liked Authentique's paper I used for yesterday's card so I thought I would continue on with them for today's! They went really well with the color of the paper pom poms from the Tuesday Trigger. The paper is called Blush from the Free Bird series. Stamps: Lawn Fawn Card stock: generic Designer Paper: Authentique Ink: Memento, Color Box Embellishments: Pearls, ribbon Tools: Glue, dimensionals, scissors, paper cutter, Scor-Pal, double-sided sticky tape Hey! That's me! 01/26/2012
Do you remember the card I made last week for a Studio Calico Sunday Sketch challenge? (If not, no biggie... Just click here.) Well, my card won me a $5 Studio Calico gift card. YES! Plus One - Baby boy on the way! Card 01/25/2012
Switching back to stamps, I thought I would feature a super cute Lawn Fawn stamp set! I have a baby shower coming up so I wanted to use Plus One. For layout inspiration, I used this week's Mojo Monday challenge and I used some beautiful new paper by Authentique. I used the Fair-weather paper line from their Free Bird series. I can't wait to give it to my friend because I know she'll love the colors! Hope you enjoy the card. :) Stamps: Lawn Fawn Card stock: Stampin' Up! Designer Paper: Authentique Ink: Memento, Color Box Embellishments: Pearls Tools: Glue, dimensionals, scissors, paper cutter, Scor-Pal Fabric Love! :) 01/25/2012
Well, I was home sick on Monday and Tuesday night is my small group study so I haven't had any time to get my paper crafting done. :) So I'm going to share with you a cool project I did with my friend, Tammy! We made a super cute fabric wreath (and some of that fabric is from some awesome Stampin' Up! designer suites) on Sunday that I love so much! It's spring themed but I have a feeling it may be up all year round. Tammy found a great tutorial using stips of fabric and a coat hanger (we didn't have any wire coat hangers, so we just used wire) on A Beautiful Mess. It's a great site for some awesome DIY projects. Make & Take January Club Meeting 01/22/2012
I had a great time on Saturday crafting with my Make & Take Club peeps. :) Check out the great gnome card and scrapbook pages we made: If you'd like to see some photos from this weekend's club meeting, head over to the Make & Take Club blog! SC County Fair - For You 01/21/2012
For my second card tonight, I used my January Studio Calico kit to create a simple "For You" card. I used two challenges; one from Studio Calico and the other from Pals Paper Arts. The challenge from Studio Calico was to create a monochromatic layout or project. Below is the layout from Pals Paper Arts. This layout was tough for me, I still kind of feel like this card is missing something.... But, I like the color scheme I chose. :) I used some pearls, ribbon, letters and black washi tape (American Crafts) as embellishments. For the card stock, I used Vanilla by American Crafts. Finally, the designer paper used was "Milk" from Jillibean Soup's Apple Cheddar Soup, "Rain Check" from Pebbles' Fresh Goods and "School Dress" from Jenni Bowlin Studio's Red Black Extension IV. Card stock: American Crafts Designer Paper: Jillibean Soup, Pebbles, Jenni Bowlin Studio Ink: Color Box, Stampin' Up! Embellishments: Pearls, washi tape, ribbon, letters Tools: Glue, dimensionals, scissors, paper cutter SC County Fair - Follow your dreams 01/21/2012
This week has been busy!! But, to make up for my lack of Paper Love projects, I have two posts tonight and I'll show you the projects from this month's Make & Take Club tomorrow before starting Monday with a new weekly feature. Continuing with my January Studio Calico kit, I created a card using Crafty Steal's first sketch! From my kit I used the Powder card stock by American Crafts, "Handpicked" from Crate Paper's Farmhouse Collection, "Sunny Day" by American Crafts' Daydreams and Wallpaper from Crate Paper's Random Collection. All of the stamps are from Lawn Fawn's Cruising Through Life set. I colored the pinwheels using Stampin' Write Markers and the glitter brads are by We R Memory Keepers. Card stock: American Crafts Designer Paper: Crate Paper, American Crafts Ink: Color Box, Momento, Stampin' Up! Embellishments: Glitter brads Tools: Glue, glue dots, scissors, paper cutter SC - County Fair: Happy 01/18/2012
Today I used more paper from my Studio Calico set, Country Fair, as well as some of the very cute embellishments. The layout inspiration was from this week's Studio Calico Sunday Sketch. For the paper I used "Handpicked" from Crate Paper's Farmhouse Collection, "Milk" from Jillibean Soup's Apple Cheddar Soup, "Sunny Day" from American Crafts' Daydreams and Dandelion card stock from American Crafts. I painted and shimmer misted the Doily Flowers (by Jenni Bowlin) and added letters from October Afternoon's Gray & Cream Mini Market to spell out HAPPY. Card stock: American Crafts Designer Paper: Crate Paper, Jillibean Soup, American Crafts Ink: Color Box Embellishments: Staples, Doily Flowers, pearls, sticker letters Tools: Glue, glue dots, scissors, paper cutter, tape, acrylic paint, paint brush |
